Hoorah! Soon there will be no more mass mail / SMS to inform change of number. I hope it also brings better service from service providers for increased customer satisfaction.

Yupp... sometime next year we should have this introduced in the metros to start with...
nice act this one... this is kinda common in UK already...
the only issue here would be to identify ( which is possible today) where the number belongs to by looking at it...
still 1 yr to go for it........long time to wait.....but would be goood for mobile users.......and hopefull all telcos will improve their service to stop existing customers from switching
