State of Shame

In today's episode of Indian Idol, there was a short interview of Dr. D D Lapang, Chief Minister of Meghalaya. On his desk, there were two flags. (I don't know what it's called, but they cross each other.) Both of them were inverted (Green was on top; saffron at bottom)!

This is the same India, where till a few years ago, the common people were not allowed to display the tri-color, and that only changed in 2002 thanks to Mr. Naveen Jindal.

Remember: this is no common man; this is a Chief Minister of a state and his desk; shown on national television! No one noticed? Not even the editors at Sony?

I can't even begin to express how angry this makes me. The editors at Sony.. leave them man, they're mostly dumb anyway. CM? The MOFO.. sheesh. I wish someone would fuck them in and out so bad that they wouldn't be able to differentiate between colours.

This really is shameful. I would not have expected the editors at Sony to notice it though. The state of so many things here is just too sad! Don't know if they really care about national or public integrity. At all.

I don't watch Indian Idol. But, I have heard that the editors leave no stone unturned to make the program attractive. They don't seem to make the slightest mistakes.
In that case, it was a big mistake not to notice the upside down Tri-Colour.Really very shameful!

Btw, I read about your tryst with Tata Indicom. We too have a Tata Indicom Broadband connection at home. We had first applied for BSNL Broadband. But, it never reached us. So, we contacted our local cable TV fellow and he managed to provide us with a Tata Indicom connection within two days. So, if you face difficulties again, contact your cable TV fellow.
